As summer draws slowly to an end, I have been reflecting on my first summer as a published author. It has been a true blessing to meet and speak with so many people – old and new – about Echoes of Pemberley. So much has been happening this summer, that I wanted to take a few minutes to catch up!
Just this morning, I woke up to a delightful review by Jakki Leatherberry at Leatherbound Reviews. I have posted the link so you can go check it out. She really understood where I was going with the novel, and that’s always so nice to see. Thank you Jakki.
I have also been doing a few guest blog posts. Most recently I stopped by Darcyholic Diversions and did a guest post on Mr. Darcy and the modern woman. There is a book giveaway with this post, so be sure to go over and check it out. Again, I’ll post the link.
Lastly, myself and several other Meryton authors are preparing to travel to one of my favorite states (other than NC that is) Georgia y’all! The Decatur Book Festival is less than two weeks away! And it will be the HOT place to be Labor Day weekend. I look forward to seeing so many of you there and meeting new readers and authors.
So to sum up, my first summer as a published author has been one of the greatest summers of my life. It must be said that the readers, authors, and bloggers in the world of Jane Austen Fan Fiction are some of the nicest people I have had the pleasure to know. Never did I realize when I wrote Echoes of Pemberley that I would become a part of such a wonderful community. Thank you one and all!
